Worm Ramnit stole 45 000 Facebook passwords

Worm Ramnit is a file infector worm which originally stole FTP credentials and browser cookies and later it added some financial-stealing capabilities. Now security experts report that the latest version of the Ramnit worm comes with the ability to steal Facebook credentials and spams friends on the social-networking site to spread itself. More than 45 000 Facebook passwords were already stolen.

Security software company Symantec® reports a new malware program named Trojan.Laziok arrives in emails and exploits a vulnerability in Microsoft Office® that actually should have been patched by users back in April 2012.
