FBI Investigating U.S. Postal Service Cyber Security Breach

More than 800,000 U.S. postal workers personal information may have been compromised by a cyber security intrusion, reports the United States Postal Service. Discovered in mid-September, the breach into the postal service’s information systems reportedly did not affect customer credit or debit card transactions; however, data from the Postal Service Customer Care Center where inquiries were made by telephone or email may have been compromised. The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is leading the investigation.
