Researchers from Fire Eye managed to decommission two CnC servers located in the Netherlands where the Grum botnet was hosted. These servers were used for supplying spam to the infected computers which then sent the spam to other computers. Grum still has two other CNS servers that are located in Panama and Russia. According to experts, the Grum botnet has been responsible for more than 35 percent of all spam.
