Malware application Find and Call removed from the App Store℠, Google Play℠

July 17, 2012  Malware News

The application sent phone numbers to a remote server from mobile phones where it was installed, without the user's knowledge. The application was also able to send data about the user's location. On the phone numbers obtained from the cell phone, the application sent spam using the name of the phone owner. Applications like this are quite common on Google Play℠, but in the App Store℠ they are very rare. The Apple® App Store℠ claims this application was available from 13th June to 5th July, then it was removed from both, Google Play℠ and App Store℠.
