Malware Attacks Java® Web Servers

Attackers are penetrating specialized web servers with Java® containers. Coming in the form of a JavaServer Page (JSP), visitors to a website with this malware can be infected via the web interface console. The malicious code usually carries JAVAWAR aliases and can infect a system when the page is deployed or by breaking passwords when Java® servers are identified.

New Trojan Targets Vulnerable Microsoft Office® Users

Opening email attachments just got a bit more risky, especially for Microsoft Office® users working in the energy sector. Security software company Symantec® reports a new malware program named Trojan.Laziok arrives in emails and exploits a vulnerability in Microsoft Office® that actually should have been patched by users back in April 2012.
