Microsoft® Word Vulnerability Leads to Attacks

Microsoft® issued a security advisory warning users of a vulnerability in Microsoft® Word that allows remote code execution if a specially crafted rich-text file (RTF) is opened with the word processing program. According to Microsoft®, targeted attacks have been executed against Microsoft® Word 2010, although many other versions and software also are vulnerable. This vulnerability can be exploited through Microsoft® Outlook® when Word is used as the email viewer. Microsoft® is currently working on a solution.
