Phising "Policie"

June 27, 2012  Security Suite

We would like to warn users against one of the newest forms of fraund on the internet. The attacker pretends to be a police officer, and with several different techniques (either directly through the infection process, using the web interface, or even by botnet) provides the user with displays that his computer has to be blocked by the police. The attacker explains to the user that his computer contains illegal software and with the use of a law section (usually attached and displayed) insists that pay a fine. It can be paid to a specific bank account and in this way the user can unblock his computer. Of course, it is necessary to delete all the illegal content from the computer.
