Top 4 Browsers Hacked by Remote Code Execution

All four major Internet browsers were hacked by remote code execution exploits at the recent Pwn2OwnSM computer security contest held in Vancouver, Canada. As part of the CanSecWest conference, the Pwn2OwnSM event challenges contestants to find security vulnerabilities in computing platforms and software. This year, the top four Internet browsers were placed into the arena and all were breached, including Internet Explorer® 11, Google Chrome™, Apple® Safari®, and Mozilla® Firefox®. Popular plug-ins Adobe® Reader® and Flash® Player also were cracked.
