Top Search Engines to Implement Uniform Search Results Removal

A ruling by the European Union (EU) Court of Justice (CJEU) this past May has brought together Europe’s top search engines to discuss compliance with the right-to-be-forgotten order. Google®, Microsoft® and Yahoo!® gathered in Brussels on July 24th with European data protection authorities to ensure the right for an individual to have personal information removed from search results is implemented uniformly. Guidelines are expected to be outlined and completed this coming fall.
