Zero Day error in Acrobat Reader and in Flash Player

June 08, 2010  Security Suite

A new type of mistake “Zero Day” was found in Flash Player (version 10.0.45.2 and older) and in Acrobat Reader, through which there is a risk of attack via PDF attachments in emails. Experts agree that the error is mainly used to shutdown the application, but, in combination with various Backdoors, can be used to take control of the victim’s computer. It is still not known when a patch will be released to fix this error. We recommend periodic checks and updates of these applications.
