Duque Worm—The Stuxnet’s Follower

This worm which was built on the Stuxnet Framework, is one of the most sophisticated threats existing today. It has been attacking computer systems since October 2011 and is constantly being developed. A new Duque driver was registered at the end of February, which only made detecting this threat by antivirus and security applications more difficult
It’s interesting that the worm is targeting the same target as Stuxnet—primarily, industrial targets. While Stuxnet had mainly destructive commands, Duque is focused on collecting information. (Not sure what you mean by this: Revealing the new driver is... ) Because of the sophistication of these cyber-attacks, their development may be very expensive from a financial point of view. Meanwhile, we can only speculate as to who is behind these attacks. Is it the government, or some other financially secured private group?

New Trojan Targets Vulnerable Microsoft Office® Users

Opening email attachments just got a bit more risky, especially for Microsoft Office® users working in the energy sector. Security software company Symantec® reports a new malware program named Trojan.Laziok arrives in emails and exploits a vulnerability in Microsoft Office® that actually should have been patched by users back in April 2012.
