Twitter® Urges Protective Measures after Accounts Reportedly Hacked

Thousands of Twitter® accounts reportedly were hacked through a vulnerability in a third-party application. The hacker shared information from over 15,000 of these illegally accessed accounts including their Twitter® names, IDs and authentication tokens associated with third-party applications. Twitter® recommends all users protect themselves by using its two factor authentication, and review the authorization they’ve given to third-party applications. Users have the option to revoke access to any application.
