Court Passes "Password Protection" Law

Maryland became the first state in the United States to prohibit employers from requesting, or requiring, social network passwords from their employees, and future job applicants. This will, of course, reduce the growing number of cases, especially where the public and state sectors were concerned, where employees and future applicant's passwords were used to conduct what were termed, "Better Checks." A detailed law is going to be approved in California, as well, while the topic is being discussed in the U.S. as one that might have federal ramifications.

Vulnerability like this is very dangerous because it does not require any action by the victim - all the hacker needs to compromise your smarthphone is your phone number.
