FlashBack Trojan

June 12, 2012  Malware News

It has been more than a month since this trojan was initially a  threat. It's the most dangerous threat for Mac OS X users. The way in which it affects the computer is what makes it so dangerous; a user just visits the web site from which the Trojan attacks, and due to a security flaw in a JAVA platform, it's able to infect the visitor’s computer. The FlashBack Trojan earns money for the attackers by displaying advertisements and tends to download other malware to the victim’s computer. An Attacker then gains control over the infected computer. Security updates for JAVA have already been realased. Installing this update is the best way to protect your computer against the FlashBack Trojan.
