Kanzero attacks!

April 27, 2010  Malware News

Experts are warning about a new malware known as Kanzero. This Trojan horse was first found in Japan and is mainly aimed at Japanese Hentai comics’ fans. Its method is, after infecting your computer, to publicize your personal information and web browser history and then send you blackmailing emails requesting you to pay fees for breaking copyright laws that once you’ve paid your personal information will be removed. Apart from publicizing personal information, Kanzero also encrypts saved documents, music files, photos or other images. Similar practices were found all over the world though the majority of attacked users were from Japan, approximately 6 000 users.
