U.S. prosecutors handed down indictments to five men purportedly responsible for stealing at least 160 million credit and debit card numbers. According to the indictment, payment processing companies Heartland Payment Systems® Inc. and Global Payment Systems® took the hardest hit. Other targets included a Visa® Inc. licensee, JC Penney® Co, JetBlue® Airways Corp and French retailer Carrefour® SA.
