Vulnerability in Internet Explorer, including version 8, persisting for a several years

An error, allowing attackers access to foreign accounts by using cross-site scripting, invented more than eight years ago, is still in one of the most used browser in the world. A security engineer for Google, Chris Evans, pointed out the error in March of this year and subsequently the producers of Firefox, Chrome, Safari and Opera released patches. Internet Explorer is planning a patch with the release of the new version of IE 9, where the beta release is planned for September 15th.
