Yahoo Passwords Leaked

By penetrating the Yahoo server, attackers seized more than 450,000 user names and passwords. Experts criticized the overall level of security, especially because the passwords were stored in the database in an unencrypted form. Hacker group “DSSDs Company” has already confessed their involvement in the incident. A similar attack took place recently when the professional social network LinkedIn lost almost 6 million user accounts. In that instance, however, the data was encrypted.
