How Do I Change My Profile Photo on Facebook®
Facebook® is a very popular social network. Millions of people use it to communicate with their friends and families. To learn how to create a Facebook® profile, follow the steps in the article that focuses on creating of a Facebook® account. Once you have set up your profile, the next thing you may want to do is choose a photo that people will see when they search for you. This photo will help to distinguish you from other people who share the same name. The instructions below describe the process of setting a photo for your Facebook® profile using photos that you have already uploaded and saved to your Facebook® account, as well as by uploading a new photo.
Profile photo from saved images:
- Open your Internet browser and log in to your Facebook® account.
- In the left pane, click on your name and then on the “Photos” option.
- Now you can see all of the photos that you have uploaded in the past and the albums you have created. Open the photo you wish to use as your profile photo.
- Under the photo you will see a white bar with some options. Click on the “Make Profile Picture” link on the left.
- Confirm it by clicking on the “OK” button. Your Facebook® profile photo should now be changed!
Profile photo from a picture saved on your PC:
- Open your Internet browser and log in to your Facebook® account.
- In the left pane, click on the “Edit My Profile” option.
- In the left pane, click on the “Profile Picture” link.
- Now you can upload the image by clicking on the “Browse” button.
- Locate the image file on your computer and click on the “Open” button.
- After the upload finishes, the image is automatically set as your profile picture.
Tips and Tricks:
- If you have a webcam, you can take a profile picture with it. Go to “Edit My Profile > Profile Picture” and click on the “Take a Picture” button.
