How Do I Recover Accidentally Deleted Files and Folders
Almost everyone has accidentally deleted a file from his or her hard drive at one time or another. Microsoft Windows® operating systems offer rescue in the form of the recycle bin. This is where you can find these files. However, what do you do if you have already emptied the recycle bin or permanently deleted the file? Fortunately, there are several tools and applications that may recover deleted data. One such application is Pandora® Recovery, and in the instructions below you will learn how to work with this software and learn how to recover your deleted files.
Pandora® Recovery instructions:
- Open your Internet browser and go to the Pandora® Recovery home page.
- Click on the “Download” button. Then click on the “Download from local server (if the above location is not available)” link.
- Save the file on your hard drive and launch it.
- Select your language and click on the “OK” button.
- On welcome screen click on the “Next” button, read the “License Agreement” and click on the “I Agree” button.
- Set the installation path and click on the “Next” button.
- Decide if you want to have the “Ask.com toolbar” installed and click on the “Next” button.
- When the installation process finishes click on the “Finish” button.
- Launch the application and the “Pandora Recovery wizard” will start automatically. Click on the “Next” button.
- If you can’t find the deleted file in the recycle bin, select “No, I did not find my files” and click on the “Next” button.
- Choose the drive where the deleted file should have been and click on the “Next” button.
- Select “Browse: I want to browse the drive and review individual folders and files” and click on the “Next” button.
- After the scan finishes, it will display all the files found in your memory device. Simply right-click on the file name and select Recover-to to recover that deleted file.
