Microsoft® Releases Patch for Critical Vulnerability in Internet Explorer®

Microsoft® released a patch to fix a critical vulnerability in Internet Explorer® (IE) that gave cybercriminals the opportunity to launch drive-by attacks on users. Microsoft® reported the attacks on April 26, identifying them as targeted and limited but highly dangerous if left unpatched. This vulnerability could allow attackers complete control of a system, including installing programs; viewing, changing, or deleting data; or creating new accounts with full user rights. Microsoft® identified all currently supported versions of IE as at risk.
